MY BACKGROUND
Originally from Portugal, I moved to London to further my training in contemporary dance at Trinity Laban Conservatoire.
Taking good care of my body was a big part of my routine. However, my first 'true' encounter with yoga was in 2011 while working as a professional dancer. It was a key component to my rehabilitation after sustaining a knee injury and so, after that, I continued my practice alongside my work as a dancer.
Finding inumerous benefits in the practice - from the most obvious such as strength and flexibility to more concentration and better dealing with frustrations and stress of the daily life of a freelancer - I felt compelled to share these breakthroughs with others around me. I then finally took the plunge and went training in Ashtanga Vinyasa and Rocket with The Yoga People in London and never looked back.
Living in London gives me the opportunity to study with truly amazing teachers. I gives my thanks to Jamie & Dulce from The Yoga People, Marcus Veda for all his teachings and guidance and Alaric Newcombe for my newfound love for the Iyengar method.
MY APPROACH
I believe yoga has something to offer everyone. My classes focus on building full body awareness, strength and developing a more supple body. The class stems from continuous movement deeply connected with the breath making the practice a moving meditation.
I am currently delivering Rocket/Dynamic Yoga and Yin Yoga classes in Porto and occasionally in London as well as being a Senior Assistant for Good Life Yoga School trainings.
